Lake Worth Service Center Closing Pushed To Early 2016
West Palm Beach, FL - - - Anne M. Gannon, Constitutional Tax Collector, announced the Lake Worth Service Center, scheduled to close December 4, will remain open beyond that date. The service center is located at 3551 S. Military Trail. The new closing date is expected to fall between mid-December this year and mid-January 2016. The closing is in preparation of opening the new larger Central Palm Beach Service Center. The Tax Collector’s Lantana Service Center closed at the end of November.
Longer wait times at the existing Lake Worth, Royal Palm Beach and South County Service Centers are expected. The number one tip to save time with your next transaction is to plan ahead. Many services can be paid online at www.pbctax.com. Property owners can pay their 2015 property taxes via the online payment center, which accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express and electronic checks. Other online transactions include motor vehicle and vessel registrations and business tax payments. Residents can also schedule driver license appointments and check current wait times on the website. For up to date wait times sent to a phone text “waitpbc” to 41411.
