Employees of the Tax Collector’s Office Donate Funds to the Palm Beach County Food Bank

Employees raise funds to help replenish supplies following Hurricane Irma

West Palm Beach, Fla. – Anne M. Gannon, Constitutional Tax Collector serving Palm Beach County, presented a donation in the amount of $1883.50 on behalf of agency employees to the Palm Beach County Food Bank. Employees at each Tax Collector Office conducted bake sales on Friday, October 6 to raise funds. All proceeds were donated to assist the food bank with replenishing supplies lost during Hurricane Irma.

“Our employees recognized the increased need in our County following Hurricane Irma and wanted to assist,” said Gannon. “We are here to serve the people of Palm Beach County and this donation was another way for us to serve.”

Every two years, employees of the Tax Collector’s Office vote on charities to support through employee-funded activities. Employees voted to support Little Smiles of Florida and the Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League in fiscal years 2017 and 2018. Support for the Palm Beach County Food Bank was in addition to these charities.
